Certificate in Oral Health Education
The Certificate in Oral Health Education for Dental Nurses (OHE) qualification from the NEBDN is a postgraduate qualification. This means that you must already be a qualified and GDC registered dental nurse to be able to study for and sit the examination.

How much does it cost?
The 2010/11 course fee is £750. This does not include the examination fee which will be required only when the student has applied to sit the examination, but does include the Record of Experience master document fee of £20. The course fee is payable in advance and is non-refundable.
In certain circumstances the fee can be paid over a number of instalments. You must, though, contact the course administrator (see below) at the time your application has been approved to arrange this.
What is involved?
The next course will begin in September 2010. There are up to 25 weekly Wednesday evening lectures, each lasting two hours between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. The examination date for this course is in September 2011.

Where is the course held?
The course will be held at the Carl Godfrey & Associates dental practice training facility in Retford. A map of how to get to the training centre is shown by clicking on the Home then Location/map buttons on this website. Secure, free parking is available on lecture evenings. The nearest examination centres are Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham.
How do I apply to join the next course?
Once you are happy that this course is for you and you are satisfied that you can meet the minimum academic qualifications and clinical experience, then you should complete an application form. To download an application form click here.
Once you have downloaded an application form print it out and complete it by hand in black ink. We will not accept application forms completed in any other way. Once complete, return the form by post to the name and address shown at the foot of the form. Once we have assessed your application we will get in touch with you to discuss your application with you.
